Malama Honua Charter School

Writing for non-profits is unlike other forms of copywriting. While some of the same central fundamentals apply: clear message, simple language, reinforced messaging, ultimately the goal is for the reader to take action on a charitable cause, so the approach is quite different.

This project for Malama Honua Charter School was done pro-bono, partnering with a graphic designer to develop the concept and storytelling technique. I developed the copy, strategy, and “sail” idea on the cover.

This brochure was designed and handed to the project manager for the school, who loved the design and is currently using it to send to their donors.
